It’s a little sparse because it’s a newer canon but I think his history is fairly well expanded on in the personality section.

1. Tell us about who your character is and what someone’s first impression would be upon meeting them. How would your character act once someone got to know them?

Kaji is more or less a normal high schooler and second year grade captain. He doesn’t have any supernatural powers or anything. He’s quiet and seems aloof. He’s generally flanked by his two vice captains who handle pulling the group together and communication for him. While he seems cold, there’s hints to something more about him. He takes very good care of the headphones he always has on his person. Kaji is quick to anger and impatient. However, even though he was out of control when he was younger he has learned how to reign in his anger through music and suckers.

On the surface, he wouldn’t change that much when he gets to know someone. He’s quiet and ill-tempered. However, he is fiercely loyal and protective. He was chosen as grade captain even though he didn’t want to be because of his reliability. So when he knows someone he would sacrifice his own safety for them. He enjoys being around chaotic people and places even if he doesn’t partake in it himself.

2. What is something unique and interesting about them, or what is a fun little tidbit that sets them apart from the crowd?

I think one of the things that sets Kaji is apart is his leadership skills. Even though he doesn’t want to be the captain he was voted into it by the rest of his grade. However, he’s very self-aware of what he can and cannot do and is an excellent delegator. He has two vice captains, one is very good at rallying people and getting everyone’s attention and speaking for Kaji. The other is very emotionally intelligent and despite being mute is an excellent communicator. So, Kaji delegates those things to them. He has the ability to understand that being the captain doesn’t mean he has to do it all. It means he has to be aware of everyone and the situation, he pays attention to those around him and is reliable and dependable.

3. What does your character think their flaws are? What do they think their strengths are? What are their actual flaws and strengths?

Kaji is very self aware so what he thinks are his flaws and strengths are rather accurate. His biggest weakness is his quick-tempered nature. Before meeting one of his older classmates he would lose control in his anger and would continue fighting until the older classmate had to punch him to knock him out of it. The same classmate helped him with this with the headphones and candy tactics. However, his anger still flashes, though he is able to catch himself now and remain in control of his violent tendencies. He also knows he is not the best communicator. He is all sharp edges with his words, cutting right to the core of issues even if it means hurting someone’s feelings or making them feel bad.

On the other hand, Kaji knows he is reliable and dependable. He will be there when people need him. This is most often in a fight. He no longer fights in blind anger but with a purpose. He protects his neighborhood with the rest of his school and protects his grade and kouhai without hesitation, without needing to be asked. People quickly learn that in a tight spot they can know that he will be there.

4. What is a common misconception other characters have about your character?

It’s easy to think that Kaji isn’t paying attention and is cold and uncaring to those around him. However, he’s quite caring and expresses it in his own way. Even though he wears headphones all the time with loud music on he still hears what’s going on around him. When people tell him problems, even silly ones like a lost cat, he can come off as cold and a bit mean by speaking sternly to others but then he does what is required of him to help (in the case of a lost cat, jumping off a bridge into water to get it). He watches out for his lower class men, silently showing up with his vice captains to a big fight even though they hadn’t told him about it — his observation skills and care for other students at Bofurin led his decisions.
